MOSAIC WORKSHOP SERIES

Design and create your own one-of-a-kind 9” x 12” mosaic canvas art piece in this 3-part class with local mosaic artist, Allis Otley.

Allis is an Indy based artist who creates modern mosaic art. Her muted color palette brings a softness to her whimsical floral designs. She has been creating mosaics for five years and teaching classes for three years. 

All supplies and materials provided. $150/person.

Week One:

• Overview of all tools used in the course 

• Examples of shape usage and how to create different patterns / pictures from different shapes 

• How to use wheel nippers to cut different shapes

• Selecting your colour palette and working on your design

• Begin tile cutting 

Week Two:

• Cutting tiles

• Laying out your design 

• Gluing your design 

• Framing your edges 

Week Three:

• Grouting your art piece 

• Sealing your completed art piece 

• Adding hardware to hang your art piece
