Commonly referred to as belly dancing, this Middle Eastern dance class is taught by Faten Munger.
Faten is originally from Cairo, Egypt and studied Spanish dance in Madrid at Amor de Dios with Madalena, Paco Romero, and Merche Esmerelda, among other well-known teachers. She was the founder and member of the dance group Flores de Sevilla for many years. She served as artist-in-residence for the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis for 25 years. She has performed for many years touring the USA as a teacher and performer. She has participated in many Tablo Flamenco in Spain and played with the Indianapolis Symphony at the Garfield Park Arts Center. She now makes her residence in Indiana.
